Welcome to the 856th ASA Co/533d CEWI Battalion Instructions Page!

    Basic Instructions
  • Use the buttons on the left side of the page to navigate through the web site. The buttons will change to green when the mouse is over the button. The button will change to grey when the mouse is clicked.
  • Navigation buttons will appear on the top of the page under the 856th ASA/533rd CEWI Logo and at the bottom of the page if the page is not a normal size. This is to provide easier navigation.
  • The 856th ASA/533rd CEWI Logo is linked to the home or start page. Click the mouse on the logo to move to the start page.
  • Use the feedback button to send suggestions to the web master.

  • What's New
    • The What's New page will include the latest information for our members. Check this page for upcoming events or news for the membership.
    • Use the Rollcall link to view members information.   Current Members and Missing Members are listed here.
    • Use the email form to add information on members or missing members.
  • Sound Off
    • The Sound Off page is a fully featured message board providing discussion forums and private messaging for members.   The Sound Off page opens in a new browser.
    • To use the features of the Sound Off Message Board you will need to register.   Click on the Register link at the upper left hand corner of the Sound Off page.   This will open the Sound Off - Registration Agreement Terms.   Click the link "I Agree to these terms and am over 13 years of age."   This will launch the registration form which allows you to enter your registration information, setup your profile and set your preferences.   Click the submit button at the bottom of the form to complete the registration.
  • Photos
    • The Photos page is available now.   You may view photos from the members.
    • If you would like to add photos to the Photos Page I have included an email button for sending an eamil to me. In the email attach the photos you would like posted and include any text you want to see with the photos in the body of the email.
  • Calendar
    • The Calendar is multiple user calendar.   When the Calendar page opens the group calendar for events for the membership will be posted.
    • You can setup a calendar for your own use.   Click the mouse on the Request Account button.   This will open a new email using your email program to the web master requesting a calendar account.   Send the email and an account will be setup for you.
    • Once you receive your calendar account you will be able to click on the Personal Calendar button which opens the Calendar Login Page.   Enter the Master ID/Record ID and the Password in the proper field and click the Login button.
  • Members
    • This page will be a secured members only page or pages to provide members with additional web site features and provide protection.
    • When the pages/pages are ready instructions will be provided here. Progress on this page will also be found in the What's New Page.
  • Chat
    • The Chat is similar to the Instant Messenger.   This chat program is the Volano Chat which is provided by the web hosting company.
    • Be patient while the page loads, it does take some time to load the Chat Page.
    • Enter your name and profile (if you wish to use a profile) in the appropriate fields and the click the mouse on the Volano button.   This will launch a small Volano Chat Window. There is an extensive Help page to guide you in the use of the Volano Chat.
      • Consider making contact with email to setup a chat session.
  • Documents
    • The Documents page will contain any historical documents which we can uncover.
  • Links
    • This is a page where you can post links to your web sites or post links to web sites which may be of interest to our members.
  • History
    • This page contains the historical information which we have been able to collect.
  • Locations
    • The location page features a map of Cold War West Germany with points of interest which include links to other web sites.
    • The "Where Are We" button opens a map of the US for locating members within the US
  • Feedback
    • This page is provided so that you can send feed back to the web master.
    • This page will send a email form to the web master and requires the use of a email program such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Lotus Notes, Eudora Mail etc. in order to function properly.
